About This Project
Death by Omelette is a short film that plays with assumptions: When a wife’s fear of infidelity seems to come true & she assumes the worst, we as an audience start to believe something’s up as she cooks a killer omelette. Enjoy the suspense set to the tense sounds of Stravinsky’s “The Rite of Spring” by watching the full film above. We’ve also included a gag reel we call Death by Outtakes! The making of this guerilla short is a funny story: Shot in 5 hours shoot time as a filmmaker challenge between Greg Emetaz (writer/director/producer) & Sarah Arlen (producer/actress), the two enlisted actor Tom Cordier to whip up this delicious little filmic treat. The film has won & been nominated for numerous prizes, including the SNCF Polar 2015 Prize, the Silver Medal at the Hong Kong International Mobile Film Awards, the Shorts Non-Stop Festival, HollyShorts Festival, Devour Food Festival & more. In fact, it’s still making festival rounds, how fun!
